You and Baby's Playtime

Head Shoulders Knees and Toes

Make sure you are both comfortable and baby is fully supported:

  • Cuddle baby comfortably or rest them on their back on a floor mat and gently touch the relevant parts of their body.
  • Try supporting baby to sit up on your lap and encouraging them to move their arms and hands to touch the relevant parts of their body.
  • Older babies might enjoy touching your head shoulders, knees and toes or if they are standing, standing up and doing the actions themselves.
If baby is very young perhaps start with the first point. When you are both comfortable and ready, you might be able to try the next points.
